Disney'S Pop Century Resort, Lake Buena Vista
About the Hotel
Disney's Pop Century Resort is an expansive budget hotel with 2,880 rooms, themed to celebrate 20th-century pop culture. Unique to the hotel are its larger-than-life icons representing various decades, from the 1950s through the 1990s. Located in Lake Buena Vista, it offers easy access to major attractions like Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Guests can enjoy distinctive amenities, including several themed pools and diverse dining options.
Location
Disney's Pop Century Resort is conveniently located just 10 to 15 minutes from popular attractions like SeaWorld, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom. Complimentary Disney Bus transportation provides easy access to various locations within Walt Disney World Resort, including water parks and Disney Springs. The bus stop is situated outside Classic Hall for convenience, and overnight self-parking is available free of charge for hotel guests.
Rooms
All rooms are equipped with either two double beds or one king-size bed. Each room features tables for two with wood chairs, along with cabinets that house mini-fridges and small flat-screen TVs. Standard room views may include either the Resort Hotel or parking areas, while preferred rooms have views of courtyards or landscaping. Amenities also include free WiFi, a safe, and additional conveniences like a coffee maker.
Eat & Drink
The Everything Pop Food Court serves a variety of food choices, including waffle, pasta, flatbread, and salads across its seven food stations. Dining can be busy; long lines are common during peak hours, and finding table space for larger families may be difficult. While the food court offers adequate selections, prices are notably higher than similar offerings in off-site locations. Guests also have the option to order personalized in-room floral arrangements and gifts to enhance their stay.
Leisure & Business
The resort features three themed pools, including the Hippy Dippy Pool with flower-shaped water jets, ideal for family fun. Additionally, there is a large indoor arcade for entertainment, but there are no dedicated children's activities or clubs. Guests can participate in campfire activities in the evenings, adding a unique aspect to their leisure time. Laundry and mail services are also available for convenience.

Reviews and Ratings
My stay at Pop Century Resort was a mix of positives and negatives. The food options were great, and the unique décor made it a fun place to be. However, the noise from rowdy neighbors disrupted our sleep, and the bus transportation was less than ideal, often requiring long wait times. Overall, it was a budget-friendly stay but with significant inconveniences.
I found the resort to be clean and well-kept, with a friendly front desk team. However, my experience was marred by a significant incident regarding missing personal items, which left a negative impression. While the Skyliner access was convenient for getting to the parks, the overall value seemed diminished due to the hassle experienced during my stay.
The hotel provides a delightful experience with rooms that are modern and well-designed, maximizing space efficiently. Though the staff's responsiveness can be hit-or-miss, especially at check-in, the overall vibe is light-hearted and fun, boosted by the thrilling atmosphere of Disney. The location is perfect for quick park access, especially with the convenient Skyliner service. On the downside, dining options are limited and might not satisfy everyone.
This resort offers remarkable value for families, especially with its recently remodeled rooms that maximize space and comfort. The cleanliness and modern decor contribute to a pleasant stay. However, there were some minor inconveniences like inconsistent housekeeping and limited evening pool hours, which can be a downside.
I had a fantastic stay at Pop Century, enjoying the colorful and lively atmosphere of the resort. The recently renovated rooms were spacious and had ample storage, making it easy to settle in after our park adventures. However, while my overall experience was excellent, I did have a couple of minor issues regarding cleanliness and room inspections that could be improved.
